Artist's Comments

All right, I had no idea what to call it. I guess there's nothing particularly spectacular about this image, but I like the water, and the sky, to an extent. The atmosphere should be a bit more colourful but I was lazy.

But that's just my opinion.

I love this picture so much, great job and composition

Looks great (maybe not so much the sky)

The water appears to have the same index of refraction as the air though (stuff under water generally looks bent) but still looks very nice :)
:iconchrissi:
That is very true. I ought to find out if there's a way to do that with terragen, or a method I could use to do it in photoshop.

But that's just my opinion.
:iconshard013:
Photoshop... would be VERY hard to make it look right I think.

I have never used terragen, but if it is possible look for "raytraced" materials. That is probably what you want. Right now you are probably just using a standard semi transparent material.
:iconchrissi:
Well, I don't believe that Terragen has such an option, sadly.

Chrissi,

Great image for your first one. Just kidding! (I read your Journal) Seriously, this is really very cool. Amazing how you get the transparency thru the water.
